Have you ever heard of the old adage, timing is everything? This is actually a biblical principle. Have you ever experienced a shift in your life — a new season — a time for some things to end or a time for a new beginning? Or have you ever gone through so much that you wonder if things will ever change? Or have you ever wondered why certain things are happening at a certain time? It is human nature to make an attempt to control our circumstances. We spend many waking hours planning to make things happen, or to prevent certain things from happening. However, there are seasons in our lives that are appointed by God. God’s divinely appointed times are called ‘moeds’ in Hebrew. Moedim (מועדים) is a Hebrew word meaning "appointed times" or "set feasts". It is the plural form of moed, which means an appointment, a specific time, or a meeting place designated by God. God operates in cycles. An appointed time in the Bible represents a precise, sovereign moment ordained by God to fulfill His divine purposes, execute prophecy, and meet with His people. And observing them brings alignment and order into our lives. God’s timing IS everything… Taking part in and understanding God’s appointed times leads to a deeper covenantal relationship with the Lord.
