The Moedim of God
Moedim (מועדים) is a Hebrew word meaning "appointed times" or "set feasts."
It is the plural form of moed, which means an appointment, a specific time, or a meeting place designated by God.
God operates in cycles.
An appointed time in the Bible represents a precise, sovereign moment, ordained by God to fulfill His divine purposes, execute prophecy, and meet with His people.
There are several purposes for which God’s appointed times, or ‘moeds,’ were established.
We read in Leviticus 23:1-2 that the purpose of assembling is to proclaim they are the Lord’s feasts.
“And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: “The feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.”’
